Conditions Secondary to Cancer or Cancer Treatment

- Radiation-induced fibrosis

- Chronic fatigue secondary to cancer
- Lymphedema
- Hormone-therapy-related osteoporosis
- Cognitive changes (“chemo brain”)
- Chronic anemia or blood disorders
- Thyroid dysfunction after radiation or immunotherapy
- Infertility or early menopause from cancer therapy
Mental Health Conditions Secondary to Cancer (as allowed by the VA)
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Adjustment disorder
- PTSD triggered or worsened by cancer diagnosis or treatment
Conditions Not Covered
To maintain medical accuracy and protect professional integrity, Dr. Williams does not provide nexus letters for:
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- TBI
- Hearing loss or tinnitus
- Vision problems unrelated to cancer
- Sleep apnea
- Cardiovascular disease unless treatment-related
- Chronic infections not related to cancer
- Diabetes unrelated to treatment

Specialty Limitations
I am unable to complete DBQs or Nexus letters outside my medical specialty, or previous training (NBC/CBRNE, Biochemistry). My role is to provide an unbiased medical opinion, not to advocate for approval or denial. If medical evidence is insufficient, I may not be able to provide a favorable Nexus and therefore recommend discussing other options with your VA Representative.
